The Nets filled one of their two open roster spots after buying out Andrea Bargnani and Joe Johnson, inking D-League leading scorer Sean Kilpatrick to a 10-day contract on Sunday.
Kilpatrick, a 6-4 shooting guard from White Plains who played his college ball at Cincinnati, is averaging 26.4 points per game for Philadelphia’s D-League affiliate, the Delaware 87ers.
Kilpatrick, 26, had two previous stints in the NBA, appearing in 12 games (49 points) with Minnesota and Denver over the past two seasons.
The Nets, who have won two straight games for the first time since Dec 8-10, continue their nine-game road trip with games Monday and Tuesday in Los Angeles against the Clippers and the Lakers.
