The man who claims he is the love child Michael Jackson referenced in the 1982 hit “Billie Jean” thinks he’s inherited the King of Pop’s vocal skills too — and plans to release an album.
Jackson’s “secret son,” Brandon Howard, claimed in 2014 that a DNA test taken from Jackson’s old dental impression, proved the singer was his biological father. The test was since proven to be a fake. After the results were revealed, a source close to the Jackson clan told the Daily News that it was Joe Jackson — the King of Pop’s pop — who is actually his father.
Either way, Howard wants to cash in on his claim. Going by the stage name B Howard, he looks and acts just like Jackson and plans to release an album with a Canadian record company. He then hopes to take his show on the road, linking his name to Jackson’s for promotion.
“Empire 1 is a new record label that opened in Ottawa. They are working on launching a CD for Brandon,” one source tells Confidenti@l. “He looks, acts and sings and dances like Michael. It’s so wild.”
Producers at the company have been setting up meetings in New York and Los Angeles trying to get a big financial backer to make the album sound top notch.
Howard, who has gained a bit of fame in Europe, also produces songs for other artists.
The young singer’s tale becomes even crazier with the addition of singer Augie Johnson, who claims that he is Howard’s real father.
Johnson was a backup singer who worked with Jackson on his “Off the Wall” album. His mother is pop singer Miki Howard, who was friendly with Jackson’s controlling manager/father in the 1980’s.
The positive DNA test linking Howard to Jackson had a shady source — Beverly Hills dental surgeon Dr. Joseph Goodman publicly revealed the results, admitting he retrieved Jackson’s DNA from a dental device that had belonged to the “Thriller” singer, which he purchased at auction.
