Nothing gets Manny Pacquiao pumped for a fight quite like listening to Manny Pacquiao.
When the fighter marches into the ring on May 2 to face Floyd Mayweather in Vegas, he’ll truly do so to the beat of his own drum. Philippine TV station SAKSI previewed a clip of the power ballad, “I will fight for the Philippines,” and, well, it’s something.
Pacquiao reportedly wrote the song with composer Lito Camo. It’s the second time the duo have collaborated on a song, GMA News reported. The news outlet reported:
Camo said the song goes beyond boxing and sends a message that challenges in life should not be an obstacle to becoming an inspiration for others.
In addition to boxing and basketball, Pacquiao also enjoys singing, and there are quite a few clips of him belting out ballads. Here are a few:
“How Deep Is Your Love” (with Jimmy Kimmel)
“Sometimes When We Touch”
And of course, “Let It Go” from “Frozen.”
Justin Bieber better get in the lab and start working on something for Floyd.
